Due to fear, the Hajian elders banished him and his grandmother to a remote shack on the edge of town. There were no facilities to train his psionic abilities, which his grandmother believed was " voodoo". Gabriel Tosh was raised by his grandmother on the "mean streets" of Haji, without much access to education or a use for one.
